How can I make my poor credit score better?
I have been unemployed for a little while. I day trade stocks for income, but as you can imagine, it’s been less than stellar the last few months. My credit score is poor and I’m trying to improve it. I’ve made the student loan people happy, paid off some debts, settled some others, etc. However, while rising slowly, my score is still very low. I can’t get a credit card or a loan based off no tangible income and a poor credit history. Any other ways to raise my credit score? Yes, despite my financial difficulties I always pay my bills on time (now).

Go to your bank and ask them for a secured credit card.
Or go to their website to see the fees associated with them.
I heard that in 6 months of good use, these turn into regular credit cards.
I like the answer below better.
Go to annual credit report. com
print all 3 reports for free
One in 5 people have an error on their reports.
Forget your scores right now. Only get them if you plan to by a car or a home.

Request a credit report from all 3 agencies. Find out if there is something on there you aren’t aware of.
