I have 3 different medical debts, and only 1 phone bill that’s on my credit report as bad credit. I’ve never ever had a credit card, and other than these 4 items i’ve never established any kind of credit. My debts total less than ,800.00. I don’t make much money, and i’d like to at least start paying off my debts all together in one payment. Is that possible and if so, HOW? Please help!!!

I have copies of my credit report from all three agencies and I noticed that my student loan accounts are listed in both the negative and positive sections. I have consolidated my student loans and were in a repayment schedule so the dates listed for the adverse accounts are for 2001 and the dates listed for the good accounts are from 2002 to current. Both listings are from the same account holder, is there a way to have the negative information removed since I am in good standing and paying on schedule? Will this change when I have my loans consolidated to another agency? I also have a closed landline telephone account that was charged off as bad credit in 2004. It will not be removed until the year 2011. I am willing to own up to and pay off the debt in exchange for a deletion. What can I do about that? I also paid off a collection agency for a debt which they had agreed to have report to the credit agency. I see that this debt is still listed as collection account, but paid. I initiated all communication with this collection agency even though the debt originated in 1999, it was still on my credit report and I established an agreement with them. I finally paid them off but it is still listed as a negative collection account on my report. What can I do about removing this account from my report. My debt troubles started in 1999 when I got sick and could not work. I was not able to work again until 2001. I worked odd, dead end jobs, and the bills continued. I contacted the necessary agencies and told them about my hardships and I closed accounts that I did not need and could not afford but that was not enough. I live within my means and wasn’t able to pay bills on time. I have a better income now and I have children so I want to buy a home. I don’t know what else to do to improve my credit, I constantly get rejected for credit due to insufficent credit history, and I recieve high interest rates. How long will it take for me to see any improvements. I pay my bills on time and the only negative information on my credit are what I listed above. The student loan which is now being paid as agreed, the old telephone debt closed and charged off as bad credit, the collection account which I paid. I found debt solution advice on the web after I closed out old, positive credit accounts and found out that doing that was a mistake. I want to do the right thing but don’t know what that is. Any advice please?
In reading some of the response I need to clarify some issues. I do not own any credit cards. I pay for everything in cash. I have a car loan of ,000 which I make payments on and have never been late. I owe ,000 to sallie mae in student loans and then another ,000 loan from a private college which went to collection. The collection agency wanted full payment or a montly payment beyond what I could agree to pay so they told me that my only option would be to consolidate with my student loan from Sallie Mae. I know the downfall is that I will pay more but I have already consolidated. I have a 5yr old and I am currently expecting my second child so a second job is not feasible. Daycare expenses? I work full time already.

In August of 2008 I purchased a 2007 Toyota Camry. In September 2009, my father purchased a 2010 Toyota Corrolla.
Recently, when I checked my credit report after being issued increases to my insurance premiums based upon my credit report, according to the insurance company, I discovered that both cars were on my credit report. After an attempt to split the two files, believing that our credit reports were merged because we have the same first and last name but different middle initial. I was told all the information was correct. When we contacted the loan company, Toyota Financial Services, they told us even though both the credit applications have the correct information, somehow both cars were financed under my social security number. We were told they were going to correct this, which would take 24-72 hours and that I would have to call the credit agency again and contest the second car to have it removed from my credit report. This was a week ago.
Yesterday, we called Toyota Financial Services to verify it was corrected before calling the credit agency only to discover that both cars are now being financed under my fathers social security number. After another 3 hours of playing the please wait for another agent game, we were told that I would have to wait until my credit application for my car is mailed to me to verify it was correct and then mail it back to them so they can change it back to my social security. This whole process will take 60-90 days to be corrected while at the same time adding an additional car, mine, my fathers, and mine again, to my credit report dragging my score down more because of the increased debt until I am able to fix it with the credit agencies.
I’m not really looking for a lawsuit but this is costing me money and is turning into a credit nightmare. Any advice will be helpful.

okay, I used to be in debt with some credit card companies, but all of them are paid and I’ve been debt free for about two years now. I’m trying to rebuild my credit, but no one will give me a credit card. I’m in no need for a house or new car, so I’m not goin those routes. I have student loans that I’m abou tot have to start paying back….will this help my credit? (I know that paying them back will, duh, and I intent to do so…but will just having a loan that I’m paying on look good?) Also, I attempted to get a credit card and was turned down for these reasons:
-DELINQUENCY ADVERSE PUBLIC RECORD OR COLLECTION
-LACK OF REVOLVING ACCOUNT INFORMATION
-TOO FEW ACCOUNTS CURRENTLY PAID AS AGREED
My credit report says that the delinquencies could be on my record for up to four more years…is there any way to speed that process up?? I mean, I realized I screwed up in the past, and while I’m not looking to purchase a new car or house now, I want to be able to eventually.
How come I can’t get accepted for any credit what so ever (even credit aimed at people with defaults and CCJs)? I can’t get a credit card, loan or overdraft. I’m only 18 (so obviously I have little credit history) but my credit score is really low (low 300s) and I get declined even for cards for people with no credit history and adverse credit.
I have been approved for a contract phone, which I pay on time every month and I have had 2 payday loans which have both been paid in full on time.
Why is my credit so bad?
Thank you for the replies guys. I have taken everything on board. It may be worth mentioning I live in the UK and there is no such thing as a secured card here. Also, to the person who said the phone contract isn’t reported to the credit agencies, it is on my credit report listed as a Credit Account and is updated each month, so you are wrong.
